Come hang out with other front range innovators and enjoy some music from this month's entertainer, DJ Alf!
DJ Alf dives through the vast history of music that has been committed to vinyl, and uses what he finds to create soundscapes for every occasion. He may go for a deep groove with funk and soul from the 1970s…or strike a light-hearted kitschy note with 1950s Hawaiian and exotica…or go for a slightly alien feel with 1980s instrumental new wave.
DJ Alf is joined for a song or two by a random local musician. On Thursday, violinist Josh Lee (Izcalli, Eldren) will be stopping by to add an unexpected twist to a 70s quiet storm classic.
DJ Alf’s next gig will be Saturday, October 30th at the Oriental Theater. He will be spinning lost AM Gold hits of the 1970s before and between the sets of the incredible 70s cover band Mr Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival.
